Playlist with Heard you in the Wind and a bunch of songs with similar vibes
My new haunting alternative rock song is “Heard You in the Wind”. It’s something like a ghost story about missing someone, thinking you see them in the distance or hear them calling your name in a crowd. Like they’re haunting you. Think sunsets and liminal spaces like the cover art you can see on the left.
It was produced by Ches Primo, a producer from Chicago who often works in Alternative, Pop, and RnB production. It was cool to combine that with my Alternative Rock, Indie, and Psych influences. I did additional production while recording my vocals and wrote the lyrics and vocal melody. We made a great team!

I think I’m finding my visual identity. Embracing the messiness of grungy old VHS, the saturation and color correction and flawed digital effects of the early 90s, the haunting look of horror movies that I’ve always loved but avoided because I hate the blood and gore.
I think it’s always been part of the aesthetic I’m into but I’m finally starting to fully embrace the things I love instead of thinking I need to do something else. And also, starting to figure out how to bring the vision in my mind into reality!
I’ve got a lot of stuff planned for this song. A lyric video of course. A music video I hope. I also might do something really fun, weird, and quirky for promotion but I’m not gonna announce anything until I know 100% for sure. Stay tuned for more haunting alternative rock songs!
